I have been trying for about a month to get a few updates to stick.

  • KB3034348 installs, requires a restart, but keeps coming back up in Windows Update. Not sure if it's actually installing.
  • KB3024755 always fails with error code 0x80070002.
  • KB3046002 always fails with error code 0x80070003.

I've tried/checked the following:
  • Date and time are correct, including timezone.
  • Ran this troubleshooter.
  • Cleared the SoftwareDistribution folder as explained here.
  • Multiple restarts and cold boots.

I haven't tried human sacrifice yet, but I'm hoping you guys have a better idea.

Any and all help offered is greatly appreciated.

Try sfc/scannow in admin command prompt.
Reboot after it has finished, try it again and upload the cbs.log in the folder of the windows partition windows\logs\cbs.
After sfc/scannow has finished you need to reboot in order to let it fix the problems.
It may take some tries in order to fix the problems.
In the cbs.log file can be found what the errors are.
If sfc/scannow finds errors but is unable to fix them you could use the dism commands.

I forgot all about SFC! I let the scan complete, and it resolved the issue. Thanks!
