I receive this when I check for updates on 8.1

My notice about the W10 is gone from the update section so I'm thinking maybe I will receive the W10 soon.

I really DO NOT want to update at this time

Hello, enigma1944!
Okay. So I did some researching about the "Windows Update Error Code '80244019'" And came across this article on the Windows website.

Please see: Windows Update error 80070422, 80244019, or 8DDD0018

Also, I know it probably doesn't matter but posting a thread with the numbers for a windows update error like "802 440 19" is just kind of odd. Some people will know what it means but others who are bad in the tech area may not understand. Please don't get mad at me for stating this. It's just an opinion.

I hope the link I provided above helps!

Well, the MS solution hasn't worked for me :(. Others my try resetting Windows Update (as described here) as this is also supposed to help with this error.

For me the error appears only when updates for both Windows and other MS programs are checked. If looking for Windows updates only (to be configured in WU), the error is magically gone and updates are correctly found and installed. @enigma1944 - you should try that!

I'd bet it has something to do with Win10 update as I don't have it available even though I had enlisted to get it. My other two machines has Win10 update ready within Windows Update and check other updates with no problem, both for Windows and Office.

I'm running Dell-provided Windows OS, so maybe this has something to do with the problem...
