Yes, I'm well aware of that, at least in relation to the Flash plugin, and have updated that Flash plugin. The poster I'm responding to is talking about the Flash ActiveX plugin that comes with Windows Update. I'm just saying that the update KB3065822 doesn't supply the latest Flash ActiveX update for IE. The Flash plugin and the Flash ActiveX plugin are different and supplied differently. You can check this by going to the official About Adobe Flash page that I linked to above, which will give you your current version for that browser and what the latest one should be. Go to that page with IE, then see what it says your version is.
Shows active x here in new version, if this is what you meant Adobe - Flash Player

Yes. What does it say in the Version Information box that's displayed on that page when using IE?

That IE update today was to fix exploits in IE itself, not in Flash; that should come later. The Flash plugin that Firefox sees should automatically update itself, but the one that IE uses comes through Windows Update, and that hasn't, at least from what I can tell, come about yet.

Strange because i did the 18.0.0.203 few days before 18.0.0.209 and went into IE then 203 and i did no windows updates till today. No ill effect on IE as there was on Firefox, have to wait and see, even Control panel shows newest version of Adobe there.

Here's a link about the installation and settings for Flash in Windows 8's IE (should be the same for Win 8.1).

Flash Player Help / Flash Player issues | Windows 8

Another way to see what Flash version IE is using, as mentioned in the page linked above, is to go to Settings (cog wheel), then Manage Add-ons, then below the Add-on Types box there is a dropdown box, select All Add-ons. Then you can select the entry for Flash in the box to the right, which should give you the details of the version in the box below.

It was a long restart time, over 5 minutes. All installed OK, 0.7gb down on the deal though.

As per Mooly on another post Microsoft updated Flash in IE on July 16 2015, through Windows update.
