So I just built my new system and I installed Windows 8.1 (first ever to have) and now I need to install the updates. However I read around the Internet about a fiasco about updates which I am not seeing. The update was KB2919355 and from what I read you had to install this update along with others in a certain order to avoid problems.
But I could not find anything if this was pertaining to upgrading or full install. In my situation I have a full install. According to some threads I read once you install KB2919442 then KB2919355 should show up.
Q1 - does this still pertain?
Q2 - I do not see KB2919442 so if this still pertains then I guess I got manually install this?
Q3 - or is my version of Windows 8.1 beyond that situation and I should just update what I see?
Q4 - are there any other updates that I should be wary of? I know of the upgrade path to Windows 10 and I know which updates those are. I do not plan on upgrading to Windows 10; this machine will stay on 8.1. But if there are others please let me know.
The system has Windows 8.1 Professional, 64-bit and I did activate Secure Boot in the UEFI
Thanks
