Do I need today's update-i.e. Adobe Flash KB 3074219

Hello - have Win 8, 64 bit ....just rec'd update ''important'' from Windows for update for Adobe Flash player for I.E ...since i don't use I.E. (google is my browser) and never 'launch' it (plus it's going to be discontinued if i'm correct) should i still install this update ? I really don't like to install updates that my system doesn't need. thanks in advance..... edythe

PS from OP: i'm using Goole browser as i said and i just remembered that Google does auto-updates for Adobe Flash - so that's why i'm asking if i should also do this update for I.E. guess i'm asking is Windows update for Adobe Flash one and the same with Google's updates for the program - thanks - Edythe
