Solved Cannot Activate Windows 8 RP

Hi Guys

I just installed Win8 RP and tried activating it but consistently get the following error message .. any ideas?

I think I answered this in another thread.

1) Ensure you boot from the installable media whether USB stick or DVD. NOT from INSIDE the OS.
2) Choose the Custom method (not UPGRADE)
3) have serial number reader BEFORE starting -- this will be the first prompt you get installing this way --this takes care of activations etc.
4) Delete the existing Windows partition when the system shows up the list of disks -- AND the reserved partition if it exists too.
5) install to the freed space.

Note that windows W8 RP if it installs properly is already activated.

Not sure what happened but I booted my computer up just now and windows is suddenly activated !!!

If you were able to install it, that means it's activated. The installer doesn't let you through without the correct product key.

Activation is Win8 is almost identical to that in Vista and Win7.
The problem here is probably due to a bad clock/date setting, or the wrong region being used.
