    Update KB3022345 Renamed KB3068708 ??

Having decided not to reinstall KB3022345 because of the SFC issues I have kept it in my update bin. Not hidden just in the pending update list. So a little while ago I manual check for additional updates and to my surprise 3 new optional updates show up and KB3022345 is gone but upon closer inspection KB3068708 appears to be the same update with a new number. Selecting More Information yields an almost identical script as KB3022345 right down to the false/positive SFC corruptions.

It's hard for me to believe that MS can do all these incredible things but they can't seem issue this update without it conflicting with their own OS diagnostic & repair tools. I am going to let this one simmer a bit and who knows, it might be gone tomorrow or have a different number.

I do wonder if those that have KB3022345 installed are getting KB3068708 as well.

Not exactly what you are asking but I had KB3022345 hidden and now it is gone and KB3068708 has shown up. MS reissues/renumbers updates all the time. They have renumbered numerous of these getting ready for Win 10 updates.

Thanks for your reply. My guess is those that have KB3022345 installed will not see KB3068708

    Hi,

What is the SFC scan result for the machine in which these KBs are installed?

    Hello,

I was interested in that too, and it came back with no integrity violations right after installing all those optional's and the recommended at the top of that list.

Naturally I was pleased to see that after all the recent problems being reported.

    That is great to hear

In that case, Microsoft must have rectified the problem causing KB3022345.

I hid it earlier, now I can't see it in hidden or pending ones.

    I agree.

I did get corruption from that one but found a fix that cleared it up.

Other than uninstalling the particular KB, I couldn't get any other fix to solve the "false positive" file system corruption issue.

Did the later MS hotfix for the particular KB clear it up for you?
