The Scoop On KB 3022345 System File Corruption

Not speculation any more. Funny how it seems to effect some systems and not others. I don't intend to reinstall again until more info is available.

I have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times on 2 different machines dating back to 4/21 and currently uninstalled on both and the update continues to show up in Updates even after re-checking for updates. The only thing different from the first time is that it is always listed as Optional now. There was a short time when it was listed as Important.

After installing the April patches, KB3022345 came up as Optional in mine. So it's all okay for now. I'm going to ignore that.
Is it the only one causing problems, reported here or is there something else too?

As for recent updates (<30 days ) I think that is the only one that has caused me problems and I usually install them all and that's what got me where I am today.

What if I hide KB3022345 - that will take care of it, right?

Yes! And you can Restore (un-hide) it at any time.

Thank you, I'm going to do it.

It has caused whole lot of problem for me for this month

MS says it actually do not corrupt the system files, but SFC scan detects it incorrectly.

Both my Win 8.1 x64 HP notebooks & Dell venue 8 Win 8.1 x32 tab returned the same error on SFC scan, after installing this update.

Uninstalling it from tab made everything okay.

But I'm not able to uninstall this update on my other HP notebook - an Envy x2 15t (this is not the one in which a Reset Base command was executed).

I'm trying to uninstall by entering Safe Boot.

    Hope for the best!
