I didn't get one. Did you install the SSD or did it come with your PC? If you installed it, it could be that the drivers from your old(possibly a WD?) and any registry keys are picked up by Windows update. I've noticed with Ccleaner, it shows a program that is already uninstalled sometimes in Cleaner Applications tab. I then have to go into the registry and do a recursive search for left over keys so it will stop showing up.
Or are you using an USB HDD?

I never install drivers from Windows Update as I had problems in the past, I go directly to the manufacturer.

The problem with any driver updater, windows included, is most go by the date, which means absolutely nothing. The dates are usually(not always) the date it was taken up in the updater listings, and not when it was made. They should only use version numbers. that's why I only use the ones from PC manufactures site (except for graphics card/integrated graphics). If windows wants to download I let it so it doesn't want to nerve or I have a bunch of hidden ones. I then go to Device manager and choose the one I want to use Update driver>Browse my computer for driver software>Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer>make sure "show compatible hardware" is ticked>and I choose one, 2 minutes work and a long time peace.

did you installed it?

Yes, I installed it. I did a System Restore before I did it. I haven't had any problems. I haven't noticed any change in the WD HD either.

Driver updates(except graphic cards) usually have very minimal changes, and usually for a compatibility layer for newer or older piece of hardware. For example there is a newer USB 3.1 type C

Microsoft has replied to a question on the WD SES driver update, quoted in part below, at Western Digital Technologies - Other hardware -WD SES Device - Microsoft Community .

"Western Digital My Passport/My Book hard drives require a special communications channel (SCSI) between the PC and the hard drive to enable certain features such as password protection, LED control, and access to the drives label if applicable. "
So this update may affect *password protection*, among other things. Without more complete information, one might question its effect on security.
