Failure Configuring Windows Updates 'Reverting Changes'

    Hi guys,

Last night I did a system refresh and this was the result this morning, faaaantastic!

I am currently having an issue on my laptop at the moment where it's stuck in an infinite loop of 'reverting changes' after having tried to update and failed at 30%, I have done some reading at ways to boot into safe mode however it would appear windows 8 doesn't give me the chance.

I do not have a copy of my original windows 8 disc and am at a loss, please help!

Edit; I have tried spamming F4, F8, F10 buttons and none are allowing me to enter boot mode.

Open the Admin command (Win+X->Command Prompt(Admin)) and type:
    bcdedit /set {current} safeboot minimal
Restart your PC, it should boot into safe mode.

To remove it from booting into safe mode, run from Admin Command:
    bcdedit /deletevalue {current} safeboot

WHAT THE HELL; are you a retard or something?

do you know what a bootloop is? he cant login to windows at all, how is he supposed to open cmd?

    idiot

if you really wanted to help, you wouldve already

I know cuz i have the same issue, windows 8.0, new laptop, obviously, THEY DONT GIVE THE WIN DVD, as theres an option to reset the windows(so booting from the dvd is not an option)...so I wanted to update to wind 8.1.
It downloded all updates, 103 updates in total, took it a few hours, microsoft servers must be the shittiest ever, cuz my connection is of 100 MEGABYTES/secundum, then windows restarted, then bang, windows failed to configure reverting changes,,,reverts the changes in 30-40 minutes, restarts, then reverting changes again..i can leave it for days, it will always revert the changes and keep looping on that....

none of these forums provided a fix for this, despite that there are a lot of posts with this exact same bullshit, all the smartasses post some ""helpful"" replies unrelated to this problem which cannot be solved by the solution they post as the ****ing windows wont ****ing start, its just looping, so go and **** off if you cannot help, just STFU

I forgot to mention, that i just did a clean reset everything and reinstall windows right before downloding the updates, just to have the system totally clean and ready for windows 8.1

AND THIS HAPPEND NOW THE SECOND TIME, the first time i didnt do a clean reset windows, so i had a safety recovery backup, going to safe mode, recovery, yadayada, but now what??? should i phone Bill and tell him to stuck his windows 8.0 up his backyard? or should i start trolling these unhelpful forums making a new account every 3 minutes, so at least the admins WILL HAVE TO DO THEIR WORK once in a while erasing and banning my shit? cuz o man i have all day, all ****ing day waiting for my windows to do its bootloop 24/7

LOL. Obviously I missed the part that OP could not boot up into Windows, so I deserve to be called an idiot and I choose to ignore this kind of obnoxious post.

    @OP
Since you could not boot into Windows, I would suggest using the Windows recovery USB disk or any kind of Windows PE to boot into the Win PE environment. From there you can open the command prompt and use:
    bcdedit /set {default} safeboot minimal
and try if you can get into to Safe Mode.

    Hope this helps !!!
