Hai Friends,
Recently I installed win8.1 on my PC. and when I check for updates(windows Update) there shows about 48 important updates ready to download which is 486.3MB. So,my question is 'did i want to install these updates or ignore it? bcoz i think while updating this my pc becomes slow or laggy.' so, someone please suggest me .

ALways install all the updates, probably these updates from 8.1 to 8.1.1

EDIT: Manually create a restore point before running those updates just in case something goes wrong.

While updates are being installed the computer will of course be slow. This is unavoidable and to be expected. After the updates performance should return to normal.

Doing the updates is very important. Otherwise the security of your computer will be at serious risk and anti-virus software will be of limited usefulness.

TiWorker is a legit Windows file. This is the trustedinstaller which installs updates and enables Windows features, leave it alone.

the update is completed and the performance is improved. but there are 2 problems.
1. when i use the search option the CPU usage goes high and the explorer.exe gets crashed and comes back normally.
2. while i watch videos on my players(vlc or klite)there also the cpu usage goes to 70-80% but when i pause it or close it then it back to zero(normal).

both these are occurring before updating too .. so , its not a problem by update..

can anyone please provide any solution??

You can't expect anything better since you are running Windows 8 with a Pentium 4 and 1.5 GB of RAM.

Yup, the lack of RAM is straining your CPU memory controller - a chipset update may help, but there's no way from getting away from upgrading your RAM.

If you want a good improvement try to get some cheap ram compatible with your motherbourd even a 4 GB ram kit will make a big difference :)
