Can't Change Update Settings "Some settings are managed.."

    Hey thanks a bunch it works on windows 7 too. Same problem as the one stated above!
    But actually i am more interested what has caused this to happen?
    Do you know why? Whats the group policy thing? My computer is mostly just used by myself.

    Actually you can ignore the top question, more importantly, after applying the reg file, i get this whenever i press the windows update button manually. Any way to fix this? I still want to see what updates are available every now and then.

    Thanks for the reply, after turning on the computer this morning,
    I found out that it was working just fine. Maybe the restart fixed it.

    I wanted all to know that 6 years later and this answer is still relevant. I just downloaded his REG file and it resolved my issue!

Is there any way to load the "Screen Saver Settings" dialog/ control panel at boot-up/ login in a similar fashion to applications? If not, then would I need to write a software program of some type via OS-specific commands (I presume) for opening this dialog to be executed at boot-up/ login...
