Hey, I have just came from the Win7 forums as I have just upgraded to Windows 8.0,
I have been trying to complete the updates that I have just done and each time I restart to complete them
it crashes on 30%.

I am really new to Win8 and I would love some help,
thanks.

I think i am having the same problem. upgraded to windows 8 and now it hangs at 30% when it is meant to be restarting. The weird scrolling circle completely stops and i have to hold down the power button.

However i think the updates are actually working

You're quite welcome. :)

Go to the Windows 8 section of this help page and do steps 1 and/or 2.

Windows Update freezes when you install updates in Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Vista

Update
I tried running the utility and it said it found problems it also said it fixed some problems though it still froze on reboot. Unfortunately im now out of updates for now. I have tried "SFC /scannow" that also fixed a few files. I have attempted to attach CBS.log. I'll include a link once its finished

As promised my sfc /scannow log
