    clear update cache?

Hello there forumistas,I am using disk cleanup utility, checking "Windows update cleanup" and click ok,pretty straightforward process, but them MB's keep returning,Tried deleting contents of Windows-software distribution-downloads,did not help free up space. Its not a matter of disk space, but of the OS's "behaviour",not performing a simple task like cleanup.I would also need some guidance, deleting "System queued Windows Error Reporting".Thanks in advance for any hints or clues.

    This is a guess.

After running disk cleanup did you restart the computer & run cleanup again ?
After googling it, the restarting seemed needed.

I've had the same problem before.
    I'm running cleanup right now.
I'll post the results when it finishes.

Well,I ran cleanup & I had about 80MBs of update files.

It finished & I ran it again.

    The files were gone.

    This batch file ? :

    CLEAN_UPDATES.bat

Maybe the secret is to run it over & over ?

That batch file only deletes contents of softwaredistribution/downloads. What do you have in it?

You'll not save a lot of space anyway as (all being well) files older than 10 days are deleted anyway. Is your complaint that disk cleanup doesn't reduce space enough or is it the downloads folder in particular?
