Hi there.
I bought a new Samsung ultrabook less than a month ago and about two weeks ago ir started showing the following message "Failure Configuring Windows Updates, reverting changes". I've tried to do all of the steps adviced in here "Failure configuring Windows updates. Reverting changes. Do not turn off your computer" error when you try to install Windows updates and none seem to work. I even tried do a system restore but at the end, after i've waited like 1 hour, it said it wasn't possible, probably due to my anti-virus being on. I tried to switch it off and did it again, only to get the same message.
Can anybody help me?
I've read somewhere around here that if i copied some files, zipped it and posted here someone would be able to see what's wrong, so here is the link: https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=C5BF73CB1F708E99!558&authkey=!AHFOZMAVGf7ames&ithint=file,.rar
Thanks in advance!

Hi Susana.

You'll be best off by uninstalling your antivirus for two reasons.

1) To fix your Windows Update issue.
2) To make the machine work as intended, as right now, it obviously cannot.

It is also best to use the removal tool from the antivirus maker's website after normal uninstall.

You can try your luck with another antivirus solution, but Windows does already include one by default. It is enabled by default but installing other antivirus solutions turns it off.

To turn it on again, type services.msc in the Start screen then press Enter. Set Windows Defender and Windows Firewall to Automatic and start them too.

Delete all the contents in this folder: C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download

Reboot and try your Windows Update again.

So, I've unnistaled my anti virus, but the problem still persists. I've noticed that the error code on some of the updates (i didn't see in all of them) is 800F0922
I've also tried something that i saw online, using the Command Prompt with the following codes "
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

but it said there was no component store corruption...
What should i do now?

Great answer for me here. I did not remove my anti-Virus. I did remove the contents from C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download . After the reboot, the manual "Windows Update" downloaded the nine it had been working on and completed the installation fine. It had been stuck at 35% before reverting. Thanks MasterChief even though you be a banned person now.
