my 8.1 doesn't seem to handle up dates. every time up dates come to be downloaded my system freezes up. is anyone having the same problem?

Nope....my laptop, 2yr old Samsung preinstalled w/windows 7 home premium set up as dual boot with windows 8 pro and upgraded to 8.1 pro updates just fine.
