Repaired Dell PC with ISO, Now it wants a Product Key

I'm working on a friends Dell PC. First time working with or on Windows 8.
After much aggravation with the locked Hard Drive (which I never figured out), I used an Windows 8 ISO, which would not allow me to "Repair", so after many attempts I clicked the Install and now the PC wants the Product Key for 8. But the old one is still good for months.
I called Dell to get it, but they won't give it out and want us to buy a new disc.

Priority right now is the Product Key.

But help with the locked HDD won't hurt.

    Thanks much, Trina

You will need to boot the DVD in UEFI mode.

Note: You may need to do startup repair 3 to 4 times.

I called Dell to get it, but they won't give it out and want us to buy a new disc.
I believe the cost is $5.

you can extract the key embedded on the motherboard using this program Windows Product Key Viewer 1.4.7d, You will have to match your ISO or DVD to the same version as the original was for the embedded key to work.

The System is up and running.
I got the product key with the Magical Jelly Bean key finder. And I entered it, but it still says it is only good for 90 days.
    What do you recommend now?
