Solved Updates are available,but cannot see them

Hi again,i hope you all take this thread seriously because my previous thread not taken seriously.so plz help me in this matter.i have windows 7 SP1 & i set windows to check for updates,but let me choose whether to download and install them.so windows telling me updates are available in notifications.when i click on windows update icon,there is nothing only red cross & option for check for updates.when i click on check for updates,it telling me >>

Install New Windows Update software
To check for updates,you must first install an update for Windows update.Your automatic update settings will not change.
To install the update,Windows update will automatically close and re-open.

& i have slow internet connection.when i click on install now,it just stay like that on installing updates screen for hours,Plz help :huh:

plz help..anybody got a solution..it's driving me crazy now.i tried everything & also clicked on install now.but after sometime again that message appear.also selected install updates automatically,but no use

ah finally solved it..it's funny how i make a thread & it become solved after some time.those who have this problem..i solved it in following steps >>
1.selected never check for updates in windows update,saved it
2.logged out & again logged in
3.selected install updates automatically & checked for updates,still had problem
4.went to troubleshooting in control panel,clicked on troubleshoot problems with winodws update
5.clicked advance in windows update troubleshooting,clicked on run as administrator
6.then windows started checking for updates online
7.after an hour it showed me updates are available,restart windows update & check for updates
8.voila updates were available i can see them
