Simple fix. This driver to your Connexant modem is bugging the heck out of the machine:

    Code:
    1: kd> lmvm CAX_CNXT
    start end module name
    fffff800`0263a000 fffff800`02702000 CAX_CNXT T (no symbols)
        Loaded symbol image file: CAX_CNXT.sys
        Image path: CAX_CNXT.sys
        Image name: CAX_CNXT.sys
        Timestamp: Wed Oct 18 14:30:08 2006 (453672B0)
        CheckSum: 000BAB3B
        ImageSize: 000C8000
        Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
See if you can download/install latest update from your motherboard manufacturer. If not or they don't have it, no sweat, I got ya covered.

This is one of the oldest video drivers I have ever seen in a crash dump:

    Code:
    atikmdag atikmdag.sys Thu Apr 05 18:37:54 2007 (46157A42)
    Update from ATI/AMD's website.

Visit Realtek's site to update ancient Realtek lan driver:

    Code:
    Rtnic64 Rtnic64.sys Fri May 30 11:12:23 2008 (48401957)
Also update ENE card reader driver, from Acer:

    Code:
    ESM7SK ESM7SK.sys Mon Oct 24 23:38:28 2005 (435DA8B4)
    ESD7SK ESD7SK.sys Mon Oct 24 23:38:31 2005 (435DA8B7)
There are a few other issues, but these are most important for now.

You can make this machine ok, but 8 is not a good choice for it. 7 is better.

    You're welcome.

I was on Acer's download page for your model.

For the Conexant modem, forget them (for now) - try this first:

    Conexant HSF2014 56K Data Fax Modem Driver 7.80.4.0 for Windows 7 x64/Windows 8 x64 - Windows 8 Downloads

    or

    Driver Details | Dell US

Look in Device Manager about it. What is the date of the driver shown after install?

I tried to install the Conexant Drivers and the message is that the device for it is not installed on my machine. Is this a modem driver? I have, from acer, a foxconn modem. So, if there is a Conexant driver, would that not bug the heck out of the machine?

Nah, it's probably Conexant made for Foxconn.

Open Device Manager. Find the modem. Right click it. Choose Properties. Go to Details tab. Change the dropdown to say "Hardware Ids".

Copy and paste to here the 2 or 4 lines shown, there.

Ctrl + A to select all.
    Ctrl + C to copy.
    Ctrl + V to paste.

    Got a new problem:
I installed a second HDD in one of my systems, intending to install Windows 8 on it to install in another system. The install went great. It installed as a model of my other Windows 8.1 systems. Problem is, there is "no audio devices installed". I downloaded RealTek R2.73 HD Audio Codec directly from the site. As I have done since..., well, forever! This time, though, it doesn't work. When I restart the computer, and choose the Windows 7 Ultimate OS, the sound blares all over everywhere. Restart and select Windows 8.1..., silence. And the "X" on the speaker icon. Clicking on the icon, I get the dialogue box for "Sound" that says "No audio devices installed".

    So, what's up with this?
