Getting errors while updating windows

    Windows 8
    Computer type

    intel i7 2600k
    Motherboard
    MSI z68ma-ed55 b3
    Memory
    2 x 4 GB corsair vengeance
    Graphics Card(s)
    MSI 560ti
    Hard Drives
    120gb ssd samsung 840 pro + 2tb seagate HDD
Go to Control Panel> System Security> (click) Find and Fix Probems> (click) Fix Problems with Windows Update and see if that fixes your issue. If not, there are more things to try. Good luck.

So, instead of making another suggestion and hearing that again, could you please tell us/list "everything you have tired so far?"

Suggest you follow the directions in the link to fix the update problem with Windows 8.
Error Code 0x80073712 occurs in Windows Update or Microsoft Update

Ok.. Tried those methods too.. Still same error.. :(
The only thing that I didn't try now is resetting or refreshing.. I guess that's not exactly a solution.. i'll have to re-install a lot of things if I do a refresh/reset.. So its gonna be the last thing I will do..
Any more solutions I can try before I have no more choices left?

I also had some problems with one of those security updates.. I supposed you were doing the updates via Windows update way?

Try to do it via the power button. When you want to shut down your PC/laptop (?), upon clicking the button you have 3 standard options - Sleep, Shutdown and Restart. Wait for a time when you have Update and restart. Choose that option. Then Windows would update when it is shutting down and install when it reboots. Just don't switch off the power supply!

Well i got that option many times but whenever i select update and restart it shows installing update 1 of 2 and then it shuts down within 3 sec... when my pc restarts.. still i can see those updates in windows update menu.. :( So i guess they are not being installed even from that method..

I think your Windows update files are somewhat corrupted...find the tutorials on doing a sfc /scannow and DISM cleanup and follow the steps from there...good luck!

...and wait for the update and restart option again...
