Sorry I posted too quickly. I'm still looking for the link.

Update: I can't find an MS link to download the full installation package for Windows 8. Can you explain a bit further why this is necessary? Do you need this capability to be able to distribute the full installer to others without internet access? Alternatively, you can also install it from the Win 8 DVD ISO if that is available:

Ok.. I am new to windows 8 and don't know much about 8. I am unable to to install .net framework
even thorough the online way. Ya I already have some offline installer but none works for me. Maybe I have the wrong version for my pc.
Oho I don't have any intension to distribute anything which is already available on the net somewhere. I guess .net 3.5 is necessary to run some serious software idk. I got everything setup with my pc but the .net framework thing is killing me. Umm gonna check your link.Btw Thanks for the link.

Could it be partially installed from a previous attempt? Check your installed entries and if there, delete it and retry the off-line again.

Have you tried invoking the installer via checking this box? If so, uncheck it (if checked), reboot and recheck it again. See what happens.

Its always unchecked. Someone told me that there is another command to install .net framework
on win 8 pro x64. Already tried to install this using the online way . But... Asks for .net install again.

Put a check in the box & see what happens.
Without the box being checked, I really don't think you will be able to install it or any updates to it.

After enabling it, go to Windows Update & check for updates.

Yes this method works on x86. I wanted to know the DISM commands for windows 8 x64. Because those offline tricks are not working with the x64 version. On x64 version it stops at 66.5% or sometimes at 58%. But on x86 version it has no problem.

This works....you'll need your install media...the ISO. It's how I did it for my 64 bit.

Windows 8 – Fix: Enable Feature .NET 3.5 Error 0x800F0906 | Greg Olsen - Yellow Duck Guy -

Nice job bassfisher6522!

Just for the record, I see no difference between the above procedure and the offline procedure that was first provided early on in this thread. They both tell you to load the ISO, they both tell you where to navigate, they both tell you to run admin, and they both provide the exact same DISM text string to enter. Anyone care to review both procedures and tell me what I might have missed?
