Activation Error 0x8007232B

Hi,

I have brand new Asus G75vx with windows 8 preinstalled. I switched it on and it gave me the windows installation process. and for the first couple of hours it seemed fine. I installed my ski drive and dropbox and started transferring the files. Then I noticed that I have a message in the action centre that windows could not be activated. once I went to the activation page it says :"Windows is activated. Your Windows license will expire soon". It shows a product key (first half is stars ****) and says that it will expire in one month from yesterday (the date of purchase). I have two options, one just to activate and the other to activate with a new key (which I don't have). When I try to press activate it gives me the following error:

Windows couldn't be activated.

Error code: 0x8007232B
Error description: DNS name does not exist.

I researched the code and it seems to be related to a LAN network error. However, my computer is personal and there is no networks other than my WiFi connection, which is on and working.

How do I solve this? Thank in advance for your help.

By the way, I've tried to reinstall windows, but it still had the same problem.

Activate by phone.

What edition of Windows do you have? Are you sure it's not an evaluation version? Very unusual to get that message from an OEM installation :huh:
