I have Win 8 pro newly installed and ran the updates that were some 700 Mb. For various reasons it did not go as I wanted so started over again. I took an image of the earlier install with the updates.
What I would like to know is can I copy the security updates across to the new install and run them. I believe they are stored in C:\Windows\Servicing\Packages. It is simple to extract the files from the image.
Being on a slow and limited connection it would be much easier to get them this way if possible.
