    Updates Don't Hide

I am constantly right-clicking updates and selecting hide to no avail, they become greyed out after I hide them only to return when I go back to the update screen. Is that Microsoft's way of telling me they want me to install those updates, like the Flash updates for IE 10, the IE 10 that I don't have installed ? It's really annoying. Maybe there is a better way to hide them ?

Are you sure it's the same update that keeps re-appearing? I.E. Is it the exact same KB number in brackets every time?

If you click on 'Restore Hidden Updates', does it list any of the updates you have hidden?

Also, personally I would be cautious about hiding any updates listed as 'Important', as they may contain patches for security vunerabilities that could potentially still be exploited even though you don't use the software that they update. For example, a malicious Flash file could potentially be embedded into an MS Word document, etc.

    Hello Emperor,

In addition, when you hide a Windows update, it's only for that specific update. If there's a newer version of the update released (ex: Adobe Flash or Windows Defender definitions), then it will be a new Windows Update and show up since it's not the same as the one hidden.
