Update Problem

I just upgraded to W8P/64 and am trying to get familiar with what used to be Pictures. When doing any deleting, I get a window saying and update is required and to restart. I go to update/restart and but it reboots several times and doesn't seem make the update because I still get the error message in Pictures.

I don't recall my photos being in WE Photo Gallery prior to the upgrade and I don't particularly want them there. I found it much easier in W7 do just go to Pictures/folder then delete away. What is going on and get I can back the much simpler process I had before?

hi, don't know why this has not been answered in the last week but if you still need an answer ,you can still go to picture and delete the pictures, go to the desktop , click on the yellow folder on the lower left of the tool bar and it will go to Libraries, open the picture folder .
and if you want to change the default picture program ,simply go to the start screen and type in default ,click DEFAULT PROGRAMS to open it and choose change defaults , you should have a couple of option for opening photos

Thanks caperjack. It turns out the problems is with W8. It would not complete making updates so I eventually had to Level II tech support to get it resolved. He said it is a common problem when upgrading...even with discs which I had. I understand why MS had to get W8 out the door but it wasn't fully baked.
