Hi,
Purchased and installed windows 8 upgrade, I activated it and then went and downloaded the free media centre I installed the key that was emailed and all is well...except 2 things.
1. Sometimes on start-up it comes up with a blue page that says its not activated and go to pc settings, when I click on that it says sorry you have received an error message.
2. When I go to the page that used to say activate now etc it now says windows activated.
Is there anyway I can remove the message and change where it says not activated please.
Everything seems to be working well but, it is very annoying to have the bootup interrupted.
Thank you
Regards granny

Restart the computer and see if the problem persists..
If it persists post a screenshot of the error message that you receive

The problem may not end here..
After you try to install windows media center, the problem may start again..
Are you sure that windows 8 is genuinely activated?
I always prefer a genuine product as it prevents all these kind or problems..

On one of my PC's after installing the Media Center upgrade it showed Not Activated on the system screen, but when I clicked on the "View Details in Windows Activation" it showed that Windows was activated. Eventually one caught up with the other and it hasn't happened again since. Just one of those things to make you say Hmm.

I have experienced a similar problem. It's seems to only occur when I have my Samsung Galaxy Note plugged in to the computer via USB with Android Settings/Developer Options/USB Debugging option ticked. When the phone is not plugged in Windows reverts back to being Activated again. I believe this is an issue with a number of Samsung devices connected in this manner.

I am getting this blue screen a few times a day (started about a week ago). Sometimes it happens right in the middle of when I'm working on something. When I click 'PC Settings', it briefly flashes to a different screen then goes to my start screen. Fortunately when I go back to my desktop, everything is where I had left it. More annoying than anything I guess, but makes me even more unhappy with W8. How can I stop this?
