    Hi there
I think the lawyers have made a slight BOO-BOO on this

....You may NOT run the software on a Non Genuine Windows OS................

Now of course we know what it is INTENDED to mean but Technically as written you could interpret any Linux system for example as a Non Genuine Windows OS -- so you would by 100% strict interpretation be legally breaking the agreement by running Windows as a VM on a Linux system.

Tiny point and a bit pedantic -- but as some recent Court cases show - millions or even billions of dollars can revolve not only about the meaning of even a single word - but also the order in the sentence the word is placed in the contract.

Lawyers live and die for this sort of stuff -- I don't think Ms will re-write the agreement or go after anybody running Windows 8 as a Virtual machine on a Linux host but it shows how careful you have to be when drawing up or agreeing to ANY contract.

Solved Windows license question in Installation & Setup
I was just playing with VirtualBox and installed my copy of Windows 8. It would not accept the license key because I am using that key in the host OS. I looked over the EULA and I see that it is clearly stated that I need a new license for each virtual machine. Fine, so I deleted that VM. But...
