Of course you're entitled to feel however you want. Just like I'm entitled to feel offended by your condescension. The Desktop UI is not just the primary thing for me - it's the only thing. If I can't make it work for me, I'm not interested in Windows 8. I'm sure not interested in the "experience" formerly known as Metro. How a UI works in practice can not be really told by screenshots.

    OK, that's enough about that.

Just checked my TechNet account, Windows 8 RTM has NOT been released!!! The 8 RP is still shown.

The RTM won't hit Technet or MSDN until Aug 15th.

Just checked that site listed too. Bunch of garbage. It's from a Torrent. Go ahead and download it from there, and enjoy rebuilding your entire system LoL

Indeed - quite a few people (including on here) have mentioned quite a few problems with the leaked download. I'd generally recommend getting builds from reputable sources (aka Microsoft or an authorized reseller/distributor), especially something you might run as a primary OS.

What problems have they reported? I've seen no problems in 48 hrs

Apart from the weird and annoying UI - unless they have seen sense and made it voluntary?

I've personally had the RTM boot a bit slower than the Release Preview even though the two are set up exactly the same. There are a couple oddities with the system sounds. It seems polished, but not 100 percent buffed.

I think that's a good bet to make.
