Great Info, Thanks

Someone with a lot more knowledge than I should write a little program or script that purges anything W-10 related from the system.

There was GWX, now let there be GROWX - GET RID OF WINDOWS 10:D

Cliff S, thank you for the list. It was a great help for me. I only had 3 from your list to hide which I finally hid yesterday. Now I no longer have that pesky "Get Windows 10" icon on my computer or the GWX,exe thing. My "Upgrade to Windows 10 Home" has been hidden for quite awhile. So, hopefully, I no longer have to worry about Windows 10:)

Like Juliet68's, my W8.1 system had three of the patches from the list. Uninstalling these patches is a mixed bag result. The system slower to start up, but shuts down much faster and seemingly runs faster.

I've never questioned critical and important patches from Microsoft, that's over now. I may even trust Google more with my data than Microsoft...:confused::confused:

Works, most of the times unless Microsoft patches decide otherwise...

I'm sorry, Cliff, I made a mistake and posted in wrong forum.
At least the question fit the thread, I made a comment once while flipping between tabs(different thread-same forum though), and everyone must of went "HUH???":D

Gave me a laugh. My "HUH" experience is a little different........I'm the one who does the 'HUH" when I read posts that use terms/names of Microsoft stuff that I never heard of or know how to find!!!!!!! And it happens quite frequently :huh::doh:
