    Microsoft issues Update to stop Flame


    Microsoft has issued an update to stop Flame. It is now available through Window Update.

    Not me, Microsoft said it.

    They didn't need to "say" it. I inferred it quite a while back from their behavior, and that conclusion has only been reinforced by recent developments such as the free version of Visual Studio being limited to creating Metro apps.

Hi, I am on a limited speed line and win8.1 has started to download the update. I now find that is it is some 3G in size and that will take days. How can I stop the download? I have tried the suggestions here... How can I stop the download of Windows 8.1? - Microsoft Community but of course...
Taptiles and Windows Solitaire Collection have been impossible to update, they are stalling everything, and I don't even care about them anyway. Is they any way to stop the update process or even uninstall the apps? I especially don't like them hanging around "pending" while I am trying to download...
I bet others have this too. Windows 8 continues to ask me over and over each update session to update to Bing Desktop. I don't want it, never will. Seems in XP you tell a specific update to leave you alone if you never wanted to see it. Have we lost that in Windows 8? Thanks! Jack ":-D
