I ended up with two different cards here when first putting the present build together and the capture/tuner wasn't in stock. I ordered another AVerMedia model with it's own Media Center app but wouldn't display any composite input.

The other older model likely discontinued but has what you need of course has a schedule button to bring a popup screen up for setting the timer option found on the interface when not brought out full screen. Once the input was all set I never had any use for it however since any recording has always been manually started.

With that model being in use while a new card replaced another over time the only problems seen were during testing the 7 beta and RC builds were a fast reinstall cleaned them up. The only thing I can think of here is that the software for that card has a stuck recording button type of glitch where a full removal including manually deleting any program folder followed by a fresh install after a system restart to insure everything is unloaded would likely clear that up there.
