Windows Developer accounts no longer expire

Microsoft has today made a small change to the way developers subscribe to the Windows Developer Center. According to a few developers, Microsoft has removed the 1 year renewal period, meaning developers can keep their apps in the Store forever without the worry of needing money to pay a yearly subscription.

I'm so happy about this! I'm even happier about the fact that I had the subscription for free already (from DreamSpark) and now I can keep my apps (which I will start building soon, hopefully) pretty much like forever! xDD

Talk about perfect timing! Mine was up to renewal on the 19th, in two days. Due some real life issues related to ex-wife I am currently not able to use my PayPal so logged today in to my dev account in order to change the payment method. Got the info, came here to post it but noticed Brink had been faster .

    Nice surprise. Thanks MS!
