New features coming to Windows Intune

As part of our efforts to deliver capability enhancements and service improvements on a faster release cadence, the Windows Intune team will be rolling out the following new features to customers from 8/26/2014 to 9/2/2014:

  1. iOS and Windows Phone 8/8.1 Email Profile Provisioning for Windows Intune Email Profile Provisioning allows you to provision devices with email profiles and restrictions by using Exchange ActiveSync, thereby enabling your users to access corporate email on their devices with minimal setup required on their part. This feature will be made available to customers using the Windows Intune standalone service and is already available to customers using Windows Intune with Configuration Manager.   2. Mobile Policy Support for Enterprise Mode in Internet Explorer for Windows 8.1/8.1 RTEnterprise Mode is a compatibility mode that runs on Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 8.1 Update. It enables the rendering of websites using a modified browser configuration that’s designed to emulate Internet Explorer 8. This feature will be made available to customers using the Windows Intune standalone service as well as customers using Windows Intune with Configuration Manager.
