Bill Gates is one of the most well-known men on the planet, largely because he is the one responsible for Microsoft, which is one of the biggest corporations in the world, and which develops the Windows operating system.

PC gamers also have a special relationship with Gates as they spent a lot of time “wishing” him the best of luck after seeing errors when they tried to install games on PCs or wanted to play something on an Xbox 360 and found it failing and flashing the Red Ring of Death (RROD).

Another step closer to the "virtual reality" pop culture term we originally wanted back in the 80s. Just another step. Might be another 30 years until we have primitive forms of something we can really call "virtual reality".

Wow that term is so dated, yet becoming even more real the last few years with Microsoft Surface, 3D monitors (which aren't that great yet), and OCZ's Nia control device (which also isn't great yet).

30 Years? If I look back what happened in the last 30 years I think it is closer then you think! At least I hope so! :)
I think the time is coming when we can talk with a hologram.

Although I'd love it to happen sooner, detecting and processing brain waves is still a primitive technology right now. It might be that way for a decade at least. :(

But the rest of the technology is almost there. Hologram technology will still have to improve greatly, and currently there is nothing pushing its development (even though virtual reality fans would love to push it, lol).
