I too am using Palemoon now, although I had been using Cyberfox before and not FF proper.
This exactly. Talking about adding ads to a new tab and shoving Australis UI down our throats is just too much. Internet Explorer is also complete and utter garbage. Slow and resource hungry.

Presently I use PM as my primary and Firefox/Opera as my secondary. I've never have been a fan of IE.
It just never felt "right" to me for some reason,.

False alarm. The supposed count includes mobile devices--of which Google's Android outsells Apple 4-1. Restrict the picture to the 1.5 billion or so Windows PCs in use every day around the world, and the picture is far different (where the FF share is much greater.)

In fact, the last one I saw in which computers alone were tallied, FF was leading Chrome by a healthy margin.

    What's wrong with me?
I like Firefox and Windows 8.1 and the Start Screen.

I have to agree with you Jim. I like WIn8.1, and Firefox. Oh and the Start Screen has never been
    an issue for me.

FF was using 3-4 times the memory and the memory usage was increasing with me doing nothing (memory leak). This and the ongoing crashes made me never go back to FF. chrome never crashed on me and is always fast. FF crashed a lot and at times was very slow. Not sure that improved...
Only time I had a problem with FF crashing was because of some malware. That malware caused other programs to crash too. Running Adwcleaner fixed that.

... you just can't customize any other browser the way you can with Firefox.
Starting with the following page are some of the most prominent configurations you can make for stability, security and performance in Firefox:

Firefox only looked good because the competition was IE6, they've been behind for years in features, performance and security. I wonder if it's a lack of resources or they've been mismanaged instead.

should be a month from now just like 3 years ago where the bloggers and same people from zdnet and such with the firefox is dead headlines saying Google wont renew the deal with them, then the deal gets renewed and the the same bloggers go hibernate for three years. With the restrictions on browsers lifted by apple my guess is you will see a firfeox browser for the ipad which will make a big difference for mozilla in the coming years. AS bad as the mainstream media is nothing is as bad as the click bait online media

Tho I've left Firefox for either IE or Chrome several times, I keep coming back to try it once again. I just installed Version 32 and find it noticeably faster than IE or Chrome when surfing the Internet. It seems to open faster on my pc, and although I gripe about the add-on's , I find myself...
It started a while back, but now it's getting annoying. Anytime I download from a site, like a picture or media file (music, etc.), it downloads it fully, no question, but it still says it is still downloading even when you can see the current state such as 40.7MB out of 40.7MB completed. Weirdly...

Normally, I use Chrome first because it's the fastest. Firefox is the most reliable and I use it second most (if it had the speed of Chrome, I'd completely use Firefox). IE was third for me. however, now that I've had a chance to play around on a touch monitor... IE10 is the only really...
Anybody else find this frustrating? I like Metro IE for quick browsing. Ideally, I'd like to be able to use Metro IE for quick browsing off the Start screen, then click the "View on desktop" button and have it open in Firefox. That seems unlikely though.
