Windows Phone 8.1 Development for Absolute Beginners
If you are brand new to software development, welcome! The Channel 9 Absolute Beginner series is designed to provide you all the basic information you need to deliver compelling apps for Windows Phone.
In this 10+ hour series, we walk you through all the fundamental building blocks of a Windows Phone app, and get you to the stage of producing several apps worthy of publication in the Windows Phone Store.
While this training’s style and pace are definitely targeted at the beginner, here are a few things to note:
- If you've never done any programming before, it's highly recommended that you start with our course on C# Fundamentals, available at C# Fundamentals for Absolute Beginners | Channel 9.
- If you are an experienced developer, you may find the pace a little on the slow side; we’ve also provided a PDF of the course which is an outstanding, skim-able resource that many folks find extremely useful when investigating the platform. Building Apps for Windows Phone 8.1 Jumpstart
While this training is driven from the perspective of developers who are targeting Windows Phone first, all of this material is delivered with an eye towards building universal Windows apps that can be targeted for delivery on Windows tablets, laptops and PCs as well.
This is a 16 hour, 23 module set of training resources, designed to provide current developers everything needed to build apps leveraging all of the most important developer scenarios on Windows Phone.
