Hmm, junk. Well, I've got some store apps and games that I like a lot, and I don't know why I have to justify it, but apparently I do. There's crap in the store too, just like there's crap desktop apps. My tablet background only goes back two or three years. I don't even have a smart phone -- I have a TracFone. I use my tablets around the house because of portability and battery life -- it makes sense. But I also have a laptop and desktop gaming rig where I primarily use desktop apps and Office and such (let's not forget Steam), but because I consider Windows 8 to be a hybrid I can also use the occasional store app and have the best of both worlds.

If it's true that managing store apps is a headache in a corporate environment with hundreds or thousands of machines, then I can only hope that situation improves with subsequent versions of Windows. I'm not an IT manager or admin so I wouldn't know.
