The day Windows goes subscription based is the day I'll DBAN my drive and install a Linux distribution.

I don't run a server, so don't really care. I'm a desktop user. Fedora is garbage by the way. I'd go use something Debian based, like Xubuntu.

Ubuntu One was an optional service, it wasn't forcing you into it like Microsoft would be doing if Windows were to go subscription based.

Ubuntu One was also shut down back in early 2014:

Why would you assume Windows would be totally subscription? Why not both like they offer with Office?
