Actually its not all the installed Apps. It's just the ones you installed. Maybe a better way to look at it is the size of all the removable Apps. I didn't mean to be picky it was just something I noticed. The Apps that can't be uninstalled like Photo, Camera etc aren't in the list. Still a nice feature though. Thinking about it, I think it makes science to do it that way.

That’s been there in 8.1 since release. Not sure about 8.

I’ve noticed a few things besides UI additions. Search has a few more categories > Web images and Web videos, which is nice.

The results have always opened on a Modern/Metro page to reference instead of going back to original browser page. Sometimes I would be 3,4, 5 pages into something and have to alt/back. I didn't like "Open in separate tab" for I would end up with a lot of tabs open. The results used to open in Modern IE, but know open in Desktop app/portal IE. I would imagine they open in one’s preferred/default browser. I would imagine it satisfies more users.

Thanks for that info. Never noticed that.

I would imagine that the non-uninstallable apps are indeed a part of the OS, so therefore not countable nor included in the list.

To me, if your looking at that list, your likely looking to see what you might want to remove to free up space. Having something listed in there that you can't uninstall, would just piss me off. Especially if it was big and took up a lot of space. That's the way I look at it anyway.

Actually I have 19 entries and all but one (no idea how it got there) are the ones belonging to windows installation. Some of them I uninstalled from the initial Win8, before upgrading to 8.1 and they came back with vengeance. Reading list, finance and few other ones I do not even consider using.

Ah OK, I have all those already uninstalled long ago. It looks like calling them "Apps you installed" was incorrect. Apps that can be uninstalled is likely a better description. I've got 15 in my list and all but a couple are Apps I installed. All the preinstalled Apps are at the bottom of my list. I'm not sure how they sort them, its not alphabetical that's for sure.

I see you're still not allowed to use the sniping tool on the apps/metro page. That's a bummer

Oh contraire, fellow forumeer. Open Snipping tool > Go to your Modern/Metro anything > Press Ctrl/Print Screen > Snip to your hearts content.

I have 50 > yes, 50 apps listed. I have some in my uninstalled list in “My apps” via the Store. Admittedly some I haven’t used in a while. I’m an app pack rat perhaps?

Looks like they’re listed according to date installed? Dunno. Those that cannot be uninstalled are not listed, just to confirm.

Has the uninstall option on that list always been there? Never noticed if it was.

    Never knew that. Excellent. +1

The procedure does seem a bit wonky though.

    Thanks
