Wynona as I understand it, you need to be a subscriber to obtain updated iso fron MS technet, subscriptions are no more from what I can see, msdn is expensive (from what I can find out) what I have noticed is that any instance of the updated iso's available for download via searching on google have been removed. Its a license thing. Otherwise here is probably the first place you would find them.

id personally never download anything from anywhere other than an official site. Who knows what backdoors have been written into an os illegally obtained

    I could be wrong

The updated ISO is currently available on MSDN for customers who have access. The updated ISO will be available for Volume License customers on 4/14. Based on what I'm hearing right now, e-distributors including windows.com and microsoftstore.com should have updated ISOs available by 4/30.
I think you'll find that none of those will be easily obtainable for the average Joe. If that's what your thinking. I do believe all of the above are paid for services.
Windows.com and Microsoftstore.com are paid for services? An ISO is downloadable, right? I'm confused Alpha.
I doubt you will be able to download it for free from Microsoftstore.com or even Windows.com. I hope I'm wrong but going by what they've done in the past I doubt it. Paid for services was likely a poor choice of words. I was thinking TechNet, MSDN when I typed it. I really hope they do offer a free download from somewhere but I'd be surprised if they do. As far as I know, they have never done it in the past. You would normally have to buy a license to get access to the download.

They're all available over at mdl...
    What's mdl, please?
My Digital Life, They have a Windows forum and links to ISO's. They also openly discus ways of bypassing Windows activation, so one should be careful what they download from there.

Yes, TechNet and MSDN are subscription services. TechNet has been discontinued. Likely because it was abused. When current subscriptions run out that's it. As a Microsoft MVP I get a complimentary TechNet and MSDN subscription. I couldn't afford it and wouldn't have it otherwise. For me its a god send having access to clean unmodified official ISO's. Thank you . Now when I work on a PC I have install media with no hidden "bonuses".

Yeah they support things. Last I looked they were supporting each other with kms. They offer iso downloads, how stupid would one have to be downloading an os designed to support a pc, from a place that is home for hackers and pirates. May as well zip all your personal details and post them on site.

    just my opinion

There is some good info there and some discussion on normal Windows issues. There is also discussion on fake KMS activation etc. It's even a sticky, not good.

Yeah, Ants, I subscribed to Technet for the past few years; however, my subscription ended sometime toward the end of 2013 and Microsoft is shutting Technet down (as far as subscriptions go) and yep, if I remember correctly, a MSDN subscription is much, much more than a Technet sub was. While I was an MVP I had a subscription to MSDN, and those are really, really nice; I can well understand why they're so expensive.

I never download from anything but an official site, Ants! I guess you could just call me a scaredy ferret. Unless I can download the product from the owner/builder, I leave it be. I'd rather pay than trash my system.
