    I'm not getting any responses to my other thread;
    Some updates were not installed

    I have no idea what else to try.
    The only thing I can offer is to install them one-at-a-time and leave KB9219355 until last. I think it was AntsPants who advised to do this . . .
    All the other one's went in with no problem. This is the only problem child, KB9219355.

    I saw where someone said to run sfc /scannow at least three times. I doubt it will solve the problem, but is worth a try.

    Strange anomaly here. I had installed Windows 8 Pro on my Lappy awhile back, but never updated it to Windows 8.1 Pro. Last night, I started the process and updated to Windows 8.1 Pro through the MS Store. Since it was after midnight when the update was finished, I shut down and went to bed.

    This morning I checked for updates and there were a couple or three, so I installed them. KB9219355 was not among the updates; however, everything looked the same as the Windows 8.1.1 update I installed on my desktop computer earlier last night!

    So, I immediately right clicked on the Start Icon>Programs and Features and searched for KB9219355, and it is not listed as an installed update. I went back and double-checked to be sure I hadn't mistyped, but it's still not there.

    It's my understanding that Windows 8.1 must be installed before the Windows Update 8.1.1 will install.

    I am completely baffled.
    If you already have the update features then that means update 1 has been rolled into the 8.1 Store Upgrade. You already have it so you don't need KB9219355. Microsoft updated all its ISO files on TechNet and MSDN to include update 1, looks like they updated the Store Upgrade to include it too. Open regedit and go to HKEY_LOCL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion. Then look at BuildLabEx Is it 9600.17041

    OK so I also keep getting the error, I also ran the items listed, it said it repaired. ran the update again, this time at least it did start to install, but than stipped and had same error.

    So I have that ISO burned the one with the "update" and did test it to see if it starts, it does work, I just didn't use it cause i wanted to use the usual update method. So I'm wondering, would running that burned ISO install just the update over my 8.1? I don't want a "clean" install, I have too many programs installed.

    btw I installed the other 11 updates prior to this big one and they installed OK.

    I'm thinking it will give you options. I'd put it in the DVD drive while the computer's running and see what comes up. If what you see scares you, you can back out. Or, if it gives clear and concise instructions for what you want, go for it. I know, easy for me to say!

    And this boat's getting a bit crowded . . . I'm still thinking of upgrading to 8.1 Pro, but like you, I have a lot of programs installed and am not too sure Pro's all that much better.
