I think your windows component store is corrupt. Try running these.

DISM to Fix Component Store Corruption:
DISM - Fixing Component Store Corruption in Windows 8

Try running scannow at least three times:
SFC /SCANNOW Command - Run in Windows 8

Error Code 0x80073712 occurs in Windows Update or Microsoft Update
Thanks, HippsieGypsie, the procedure worked for me !! Installation complete.
I'm glad it worked for you.

Did you do all of them?

    A no go for COMPUTIAC.

    So, I left the 'Redmond leaks' running, ran the Update and received 2 Security updates, (over and above the regular stuff);
The Registry and Aida switched to 17041:

    Attachment 41184Attachment 41185

but DISM and Sysinfo remain at 17031:

    Attachment 41186Attachment 41187

I feel bad for you that you are having trouble still. I also think your pleas for assistance may be getting buried in this thread. have you started a thread comprising of what you have done and the results to date, in the appropriate forum section here mate?

My registry keys match yours. I was running the leaked version and got two updates. KB2919355 and one other one after that.

I agree. It would concentrate solely on your problem. It's confusing and loud in this thread.

8.1.1 on one laptop yesterday, all well.

The changes, very nice to see MS regressing back into some lucidity and real-life practicality.

The interface improvements may even maybe get me to evaluate if I can find some sort of use for a few of the anemic tile-phone-apps (> just what MS aimed for lol).

Those having issues updating may want to try turning their Antivirus off or even uninstall it, if its not Windows defender. I'm not saying that is your issue but some third party antivirus programs have been know to mess things up. I know it was an issue for some doing the Store update to 8.1 so it couldn't hurt to at least try turning it off this one time while you run windows update.
