Hidden Jokes in old Microsoft Code: Bill 'Shake' Spear

Microsoft's programmers may have been creating some of the biggest and most important software titles back in the 1980s, but that didn’t stop them from joking around when crafting the code that powered them.
Yesterday, Microsoft and the Computer History Museum released the source code for early versions of Microsoft’s MS-DOS and Word programs, which one developer ciphered through and found hidden jokes.
Lines like “coded inline because we’re Gods,” were hidden throughout, the f-bomb gets dropped a few times, and programmers commented on their “dumb users.”

Google always has a few Ten Google Easter Eggs You Missed Somehow
Excel used to have a game in it but that was years ago - I forget which version.

    Hi there,

BTW your link gives Page not found for me --(404)--I'm currently in the UK until this evening --the UK is blocking sites like crazy at the moment but I doubt if fox news should be a problem.

They've been doing that back since the old Office for Windows (ran on Windows 3.0 / 3.1) which you had to install with 22 floppy disks -- the 21st one would usually give you an I/O error -- you'd have to wait a WEEK again to get a new set --no DVD drives or Internet download !!!!!.

    Cheers

Good read, quite enjoyed it. Can't say I'm surprised at apple mocking MS through its eggs

Yes, it's true, on old CPUs, there was a lot of space on the die unused. Need a good microscope to see it.
