Windows 8.1 update leaks to the web, direct from Redmond

Well this cat survived it's curiosity, everything works as advertised, APPs can be closed like any desktop one, when minimized they go to taskbar and could be closed or maximized from there. Desktop applications are listed grouped first but only in "All Apps", in Metro, normal view stayed as was set previously. My taskbar is set to autohide and shows up just like on desktop applications. Everything is transferable between the monitors and Metro APP can work on one monitor without affecting desktop app on the other.
Only thing is that it's showing 6.3.9600.17031 (Win8.1 RTM), hope it will not be problem when officially released.

(or just disable it completely, (again!))
I only had to unpin it once and it never came back?
Well I'll be darned! You're right! Thanks, that's another plus!

@CountMike: Where are you seeing the RTM indicator in your installation?

Does yours look like mine in this area?

Where did you do your check? I'd like to compare mine to yours in that area as well.

Mine looks the same there so I checked with "Aida" and found it there. For a moment it looked like I was back to Win8. lol.

OK, thanks for that. Since AIDA is 3rd-party, I think we're good to go.

Yes, a wealth of other information there too. Product key and ID and other stuff worth jotting down in case of need.

If you open the Start Screen and mouse down to the bottom of the screen the taskbar will pop up. Looks like it does this on any screen that is in the Metro environment. I'm fine with that, it auto hides like it does with an open Metro App.

Thanks for the tip. I use the showkey.vbs script to view/save/print the product ID and key information:

Product Key - Find for Windows 8

See Option 5 in the above tutorial if anyone is interested in trying this script.
