Why slipstream. Why not just install it.
To avoid an extra step on the next clean install maybe?

An image after installation is easier.

That doesn't work for everybody though. I have no interest in making images of my installs. When the need arises I prefer to do a clean install and start over fresh. Also I'm not always working on my own personal PC's so I'd just as soon have office with the latest SP rolled in. Same for my Windows install media, I want the latest SP already integrated into it.

Good that this works for you. I would be reinstalling 3 times per week without my images. I am always 'experimenting' with my system, LOL.

I hear you, I was like that at one time. In those days it could take days to reinstall Windows, the drivers, then office, then your programs and games, etc. I did some imaging then. Now I can do a reinstall in a couple of hours instead of a couple of days. Different strokes for different folks.
