    Adobe issues emergency Flash update for Windows


    Adobe is recommending that users update their Flash Players immediately -- especially those who frequent Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. The company released an emergency security bulletin on Tuesday that addresses vulnerabilities in Flash, which could be exploited by hackers.

    I see they have all systems running the 12.0.0.44 patch. I wonder if that would make things smooth or not, if you were running all those browsers!?

    Can't wait for everyone to be using HTML5.

    Flash and Java both need to go away.

    Unfortunately, almost all browser games rely on Flash. And a huge game, Minecraft, relies on Java. There's no way that either Flash or Java will ever go away.

    I wish they would port their games to something else because I really don't want to put up with Flash anymore either. I've been playing a browser game for a long time, and despite having an i7 and 12gb of RAM, it still is super laggy, slow, and hogs most of my CPU. Something that produces very simple 2D graphics should not be taking more resources and running slower than PayDay 2 or Diablo 3 on max settings.

I keep wondering if it's necessary to have Adobe Flash player as a stand alone on Windows 8, or is already included with Windows 8 ? Thanks for your replies.

When playing games on facebook, some ask for the latest Flash to be installed. Windoes 8 will not allow me to update my flash player to latest version; instead it refers me to an Issues page. I need to update the flash player; can anyone assist me on how to do this in relation to the above...
