    Thanks for confirming.

Don't know where would they get those values from...
Not that it matters but I had a typo in my post Medium was 125% not 150%. Custom does go up to 500% but I don't have those two other options for Extra Large and Extra Extra Large. Maybe you only get them if you have a really big monitor?

You're probably right, and it does make some sense.
Custom allows 500% so it's not a big deal.

    Thanks again.

Curiosity killed the ferret . . . Why would it matter which "update" one used if they're the same? Unless they're different?

Are they the same, build number that's is? It was the only reason I could think of as to why his behaves different from mine. It sounds like it may be something they fixed in my version.
Mine is 16596, so yeah, it's older. I don't think I'm fully connected though; it won't let me download .NET Framework and I have to try 2 or 3 times to open the Store.
My copy's activated though, so I don't know what's goin on.

The store works fine for me. What version of dot net are you trying to download and from where? The only glitch type thing happening for me is I get the "busy" mouse pointer in IE quit often when I mouse over from another open window. As soon as I click and switch focus to IE it switches back to the arrow pointer?

When I tried to run an email client I was re-directed to Features to download .NET Framework 3.5 then a few moments later I got the "We can't connect right now, check your connection or try later" thing.

See if this helps, Installing the .NET Framework 3.5 on Windows 8 or 8.1 I have a listing for it in Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on and off.

I've gotta say this though; out of the four versions I'm fooling around with on this machine, Windows 8 is the only one that runs smooth as silk, fast as lightning and without a single 'bug'!
    8.1 - still buggy,
    8.1.1 - well... it's still a mess,
Windows 7 - just too darn slow!

I'm with you, Edwin. Although I haven't tested 8.1.1, I had 8.1 on this one before it crashed and burned, and I gotta say 8.0 is better so far mainly because of the sleep issue (Windows 8.1 refuses to sleep) and and a few other problems.

I had issues when I upgraded to 8.1 though the Windows Store. My WIFI played hide and seek, and my wireless keyboard and trackball tagged along. No such issues after doing a clean install of 8.1 though. That's why I'm keen on getting the full ISO.
