It ain't gonna make much difference to me, as most app won't open for me anyway, as I have UAC turned off, and that simply is a deal breaker.

I don't really care about pinning apps to taksbar, but I do care about color of the apps on the Start screen - let me make them all the same color and get rid of the brilliant colors some idiot selected for default colors of apps.

Yes, let us set the color we want the tile(s) to be.

I just turned UAC Off (set it to lowest setting) and my apps still work? Are you logged in with a live ID or local user?

Me too. I always turn it off, by default. I haven't noticed any problems (so far)

Oh God I would never use a live ID.
Plus, I disable uac via regedit.

It's not UAC then, I've heard other reports that Apps won't work if you don't have a live ID and log in with a Local account. That's why I asked.

I usually set it at 1 up from the bottom, I turned it all the way off as a test. Everything still works as before.

Ah. That's two no-nos. If you disable the UAC, you lose Metro functionality. Ditto with no live ID. Just curiosity, but, whats you problem with signing in with a live ID?
