Details of newer Windows 8.1 Update 1 build; full ISO may

Notorious leaker WZor has posted new info on Update 1 (or GDR1) for Windows 8.1 via Twitter that shows a build string that is just over a week old.

As you can see, this may also be the first leak to appear online for the update. WZor had previously predicted that a leak would happen on or by 15 January.

The "show store apps on the taskbar" is something I'd like to see. Assuming Metro apps will not cover up the taskbar like they do now.

I'm more thinking of this as just how on Windows Phone, it has had three General Distribution Releases (GDR) since October 2012. They didn't really add features, except GDR3 that improved app management, Bluetooth 4, and Driving Mode. Basically, they're just baby service packs.

Update 1 I bet is no different, just a baby service pack and itty bitty feature tweak.

Windows 9 is where it'll be at.

Anybody else notice the transparent taskbar in the images in that link? Aero is back or just a glitch from the theme used? I've noticed a transparent taskbar on my Windows 8 and 8.1 installs with certain themes. With Aero removed there is no easy way to turn it off, which is something I would like to do.

There are some screenshots of what looks like a baby Task Manager over the Taskbar. This needs some info.

If they release with an ISO image, I'm game - I may even update my main machines. Depends on if it will run on my old hardware, as well as it did with 8.

I wish they had not dumped 8 so fast, people were just starting to like it.

Now, I've got actually 3 or 4 people with 8 installed, they love 8, but they refuse to update to 8.1 - If this update happens and it is good, I'll make em update.

Had updated my desktop from W8 to W8.1pro some months ago....have now bought a gaming laptop with W8 installed.
I found it very strange trying to find my way around which I found rather surprising as its not supposed to be that much different.
Have now updated it to W8.1 which in my opinion is an improvement, though there is still a small learning curve.
I like it and would thoroughly recommend it.

Today I decided to update from Windows 8 to 8.1. After doing so, my desktop became full of files that are probably meant to be in system files somewhere. This includes files like intcdaud and intelaud. A picture of my desktop right now is attached.
I recently got a laptop that came with 8.1 installed. After downloading an MP3 today, I wasn't able to update the details for it, yet I cant with everything else that I have. I tried using MP3Tag also, and it doesn't make the updates. All of the folder settings are the same for every file, but...
