Me too, using as my main OS and would buy the final release without any hesitation.

This is very interesting. Can you please let me know what you are actually doing for which you find Win7 insufficient? This is an honest inquiry.

Yes, I am booting WDP every few days or so for clicking around in the new environment.
Next month could be beta time...

    I am.
I even have it installed on all my two desktop and my notebook. Despite the hut down problem, the rest totally work for me...

I tried it when it first came out. Metro leaves me cold - but then, I'm an old-school desktop guy. The "legacy" desktop view was OK, I guess, but the start button just brings you back to the Metro start screen. Hopefully they'll have a real start button in the beta, but as it is now, Windows 8 offers me less than nothing.

I second this. The Metro start screen not only offers nothing but it is actually an impediment in running Windows apps. I can still try to understand Microsoft's thinking with these "full screen apps" in a desktop with the a windowing OS. I am still drawing a blank!!!

I tried it out as a multiboot, but ended up removing it since I really didn't use it compared to 7 and XP on my laptop. I will very likely install the beta as a multiboot when it comes out though.

Windows Eight and Metro will bring multitasking to a new level if the Developers take advantage of the new UI.

The standard desktop will still be available for all to use and hopefully a retro start button option for those that desire to use it.
All apps will still be in the usual windows style, except for some made for a tablet which makes sense for the smaller screen.

I installed all the games on Win7 and the printer doesn't work on 8, but if I only want to browse the internet, listen to music or watch a film, 8 is definitely my choice. Sometimes 8 saves my day, when I need to do an important thing very fast and I don't have enough time to wait for w7 to start.
